Our Story

Marabella Pizza was established in 1984 and has been a neighborhood favorite, winning the Golden Slice Award! Marabella Pizza is a family-owned business that prides itself on being a place where “everybody knows your name”. The family came from the southern region of Italy where their first experience with pizza was the Sicilian authentic “scacciata” and “sfingione” topped with anchovies, caciocavallo cheese, onion, and pilato (crushed fresh tomato). It was later placed in their wood-burning oven and many holidays and special occasions were celebrated eating and playing “scopa” with family. Traditions and ingredients were passed down from generation to generation. They gained experience on how to run a business from the bottom up and have imparted the love of food and tradition to the younger generation. Through a commitment to the customer, Marabella has added new recipes to expand their menu choices to serve the community. The father-son duo has been serving the Sunnyside community for many years and has always been thankful to their loyal customers and friends!
